May is full of surprises – all of them good!

My second book for Boldwood, New Recruits at Goodwill House, came out at the beginning of last month and already has 1100+4/5 star reviews on Amazon. It’s a bestseller in three categories and remains under five hundred in the main list. My first book, War Girls at Goodwill House, which came out in January now has well over two thousand excellent reviews and that too has remained a bestseller and at least one category, and permanently under five hundred in the main list. My thanks to Boldwood for being so good at promotion and marketing.

The third book, Duty Calls at Goodwill House, is now on preorder and, despite having had a change of title, and having only just got its cover, it also is already under two thousand and the main list.this book comes out on 26 July.

This is the link to my new book, Duty Calls at Goodwill House, don’t be put off by the old title. Unfortunately I don’t have a usable JPEG of the cover yet.

To say that I’m surprised by the success of these books is an understatement. My books for Aria Head of Zeus are still doing really well and I know that I owe my current success to the brilliant start they gave me with the two series I wrote for them.

I love May because the trees are all in leaf and there are literally dozens of different shades of green. I live in the country and driving through the little lanes is an absolute delight. Bluebells are now in glorious array in the woods and my delightful back garden is beginning to look its best. The tulips are still glorious and next week I’m going to buy my bedding plants to fill up the forty-three tubs and hanging baskets.

The world is a grim and worrying place at the moment but when the weather is fine, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, then it’s possible to believe that good will triumph and eventually things will be harmonious, peaceful and stable.

Until next time
